Join Us as a Hospital Billing Specialist!

Full Time 40 Hours Onsite in Auburn, MA

The Hospital Billing Specialist is responsible for leading inpatient psychiatry hospital billing and ensuring accurate timely reimbursement from insurance payors. This role will oversee all the billing for the Vista’s which will include reviewing claim edits prior to release and ensuring a 98% or greater clean claim rate. The Hospital Billing Specialist will review and make corrections for rejected claims in a timely fashion.

As a Hospital Billing Specialist:

• Claims submission: Review and submit accurate inpatient claims, often using UB-04 forms, ensuring proper coding for diagnoses and procedures
• Revenue Cycle Support: Review accounts receivable (A/R) aging reports to ensure timely reimbursement
• System Utilization: Utilize specialist software, such as Wellsky and FISS, for billing and coding tasks

Qualifications/Competencies:

• Expertise in inpatient billing for psychiatry or behavioral health settings
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong collaboration skills; capable of working with cross-functional teams

The Hospital Billing Specialist candidates will have the following:

• High school diploma required
• 1-3 years of experience in medical billing with a preference for hospital or inpatient experience
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM coding
• Experience with MassHealth claims processing and Massachusetts Medicaid policies preferred
• Experience with Wellsky RCM preferred

Pay Range:

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience.

$24.00 - $30.00
